Sörboleden, 2.8 km
If you follow Dalavägen from the resort down to Mariedalsån, you’ll reach the old mill and the start of an incredibly beautiful hiking trail. Sörboleden is a real gem that, in the summertime, feels more like a tropical rainforest far away than a small forest on the ”plain,” thanks to its sheltered location in the valley and the huge tree trunks that embrace the footbridges and water. Sörboleden is well worth experiencing year-round. In winter, it’s a quiet oasis, with creaking white snow underfoot, the bubbling of the black water, and streaks of rust-red iron like veins from the ground where you can drink directly from the source.
Note! The trail is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers, but there is a rest area with a great view just before the footbridges narrow, at the beginning of the trail.
